Regulates the processing of information for which the Confederation is responsible and ensures the secure use of the Confederation's IT resources.

Ordinance on Federal Identity Management Systems and Directory Services

(IAMV, SR 172.010.59)

Regulates the identity management systems (IAM systems), the directory services and the central identity repository of the Federal Administration.

Ordinance on the Processing of Personal Data and Data of Legal Entities Arising from the Use of the Federal Electronic Infrastructure

(OPAFI, SR 172.010.442)

Regulates the handling of personal data also with regard to standard services (including the eIAM service).

Federal Law on the Use of Electronic Means for the Performance of Official Duties

(EMOTA, BBI 2023 787)

Creates the conditions for cooperation, establishment and further development between authorities of different communities and with third parties in the use of electronic means to support the fulfilment of official tasks.
